#APBStyle Fall Guide: CJ Nikolas

Fresh from representing the USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, CJ Nikolas is stepping off the mat and into fall fashion. We caught up with him to discuss his Olympic experience and how he’s making cozy, oversized fits his go-to style for the season.

How was your experience competing at the Paris 2024 Olympics?

CJ: It was different than anything I’ve ever done. Nothing could’ve prepared me for how beautiful the venue was.

If you could describe your personal style in three words what would it be?

CJ: Comfy, Oversized, Fly.

What are your go-to activities during the fall season?

CJ:  Camping, definitely. Once the rain starts, I love staying in and watching movies. Haunted houses and getting ready for the holidays are big for me, too.

Paris is known for its fashion. Did your time there influence your style?

CJ: Absolutely. I visited my friend who moved there for school and he introduced me to a bunch of high-fashion brands. I used to thrift a lot but I've been obsessed with luxury ever since.

Pick one: Cozy or Dressed Up?

CJ: Cozy, but it’s always fun getting into characters.

What fashion icons inspire your style choices?

CJ: Lenny Kravitz, Asap Rocky, Playboi Carti, Lil Yachty.

What’s next for you?

CJ: I’m just going wherever God leads me. I'm definitely looking toward competing in the 2028 Olympics, but I rap and make R&B music, so I would also like to focus on that.
